The most groundbreaking feature of the GPNVG-18 Night Vision Quad Goggles is its unique quad-tube, quad-objective lens configuration. Unlike standard dual-tube night vision goggles (NVGs) that offer a 40°–50° field of view (FOV), this system is engineered to mimic the natural panoramic vision of the human eye. Four high-sensitivity image intensifier tubes work in unison, with the two central lenses oriented forward, like a traditional binocular system, to provide critical depth perception and central focus. The two additional outer lenses are angled outward, extending the peripheral vision dramatically.

Advanced optical systems within the goggle housing perform real-time electronic stitching and fusion of the images from the right and left pairs of tubes at the eyepiece.
